Why do couples consciously abandon parenting?

Recently I read an article about childfree. It was written that marriages that have no children consciously are considered as selfish, there is a belief that they can not really love and are not able to sacrifice themselves. Why do couples consciously abandon parenting?
One of the reasons may be that people today are much less attached to norms and traditions, they have their own rules in life which they follow. They do not think about the future and want to enjoy life. This is because today's world offers us many opportunities, easy access to everything we want make family values no longer important. That's why people often put fun, education and career in the foreground, and the child is an obstacle. How to make a career, have fun and breed a child at the same time? It is not possible. This is why people get rid of the "problem" and choose life without children, because the child is a responsibility and often a problem for many of us.
Other reasons may be economic reasons. Not everyone can afford to have a child. People work, try to earn money for a living, but it's not always easy and it does not depend only on us. Another reason may be that someone does not feel the need to have a child. Some couples focus mainly on career and money, others simply do not feel the need to have a child, they feel satisfied and happy without children.
In my opinion, having a child is an individual case. Each of us is different and chooses a different lifestyle and is guided by other values in life. So we should not judge other people just because their lives are different from ours.

Is life requires an effort?

Is life requires an effort? In my opinion, yes.
Life demands an effort because today we live quickly, we eat quickly and even our relationships are superficial. Everyone tells us that we have to be the best. We feel the pressure of respond to other expectations so we follow the scheme - we go to primary school, high school and then at the university. After that we finish our education, we try to get a great job, make a lot of money and have an amazing house or car. Or house and car at the same time. And do not get me wrong, it's good to be the best in what we do, but I think we should find a balance between what WE want and what OTHERS ask us to do, because it is our life and no one will live it for us. So let's live like we want to live ;)

Choices

Month May reminds me of my high-school certificate and about making important decisions in my life. I would not want to come back to this time, the time of passing the final exams and further choices. I think that deciding about your future at such a young age is absurd. After all, not many of us, in age of 18 years old, know what they would like to do in life, the most of us is lost and I was too.

I know that when I finished high school I was not ready to decide about my further life, I was not sure what I would like to do in the future. I mean, I knew what my dream would be. I always wanted to combine my passion with the work. However, this collided with the reality, because I knew that the profession of a dancer in these times is not something which could become my full time job. So I had to give up my dreams for a while, returning to the ground, which is why I chose to study economics. Why I chose exactly this direction? I have no idea, the choice seems more absurd because I have never been good at mathematics. Perhaps I believed that economics is a direction that will allow me to settle down by getting a well-paid job. I also listened to the opinions of other, often older, more experienced people who told me that after these studies I would certainly manage to live well. And the best in this story is that it's been 5 years since making that decision, and I still do not know what I would like to do in life. Although I have a mental image of how I would like my future to look like, the question marks still prevail. And I write this all because the period of high school final exams already started, and I do not envy this year's high school graduates, but I am full of hope that they will go with the right path for themselves and are more lucky than me ;)

Favourite song

Each of us has such a song, to which we return from time to time and which is close to our heart. It can be associated with a specific event in life, usually happy, but it always appears at the thought of this feeling. My favorite song is "What a wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. I have no idea why I like her so much and why when I listen to her, I have a smile on my face and my thoughts are wandering somewhere in a world where everything is as it should be, but I know that when I listen it, it always makes me happy. I have many songs that I love, but this one really catches my heart. Do you also have such a song? ;)

Happiness - what does it actually mean?

What is happiness? I used to think that it depends on other people, that they are responsible for that how I feel. Today I know that happi...
